how do i hook up my record player to my receiver?
my record player has a white and red plug, i have no clue where to hook it up to, the options are phono, aux, tape 1 (rec or play) and tape 2 (rec or play). ive been told i have to hook it up to phono, but even when i have it switched to phono on the front it wont work. are theyre any other switches or settings i should be looking for?

My stereo has a subwoofer output and RCA outputs. which one would i use to connecto to my amp?
And what is the difference between the two?
You can use either for subwoofer amp, IF your sub amp has a built in crossover. You would use the regular RCA output ONLY for component amps(such as a 4 channel).
The sub out is for sub amps only and cuts out frequencies above a certain point such as 90 hertz. It also allows you to match the input level of the sub amp, with the mids and highs.
