Have you ever noticed just how erratic weather conditions can be nowadays? Storms happen when there should be dry weather while rainy seasons usually end up in floods and mass destruction. Because of this changing weather patterns, a lot of people are caught unaware ending up with them having to deal with damaged properties and loss of lives.

One such property that tends to get affected a lot by storms and the consequent floods is the car. Because of the rise in the number of flood-damaged cars, a number of unscrupulous individuals have taken it upon themselves to prey on unsuspecting consumers on the look out for second-hand cars and sell these damaged cars.

One of ways by which you can avoid getting these lemon cars is to check your vehicle’s history report. Since, oftentimes, sellers would move this car around a lot in an effort to hide the vehicle’s history, you can start your check with VINCheck, Carfax or Autocheck. They can provide you with details such as whether a car has bee damaged by flood, was stolen, or has been given a salvaged title.

It is also recommended that you have your car checked by your Atlanta auto repair service center. A musty odor as well as discolored carpet and seat coverings is indicative of water damage. Check also if the undercarriage has flaking metals or if there is suspicious dirt build-up in unusual places.

A number of centers providing auto repair in Atlanta would also tell you that dysfunctional wipers, cigarette lighters, radio, and air conditioner can be indicative of a water-logged system. This can also be the case if you are having a hard time making the warning light as well as the gauges work.

All is not lost, however. A number of auto repair Atlanta GA centers have mechanics that specialize in the repair and maintenance of cars that have suffered flood damage. It is recommended, however, that you check first if repairs and maintenance would cost you less than just selling it and buying a new one. Once you are sure that having it repaired is the way to go, then you can let the mechanic do his job.

There is no doubt about it that being turned down for auto financing because of slow credit, can be one of the most disheartening experiences that anyone goes through. There is an emotional charge to it. There is just no feeling like it and it’s almost like a breakup.

>>> Get approved for a car loan with slow credit.

It can be a tremendous relief to learn that there are approvals given by companies that are in the business of working with people that are facing your situation. Online lenders can provide you with opportunities that are not available in your town and there are several for people that have slow credit.

One thing that makes things a lot easier for folks is submitting an application for car credit, before they start test driving vehicles and choosing between makes and models. By having a preapproval letter in hand, you have your priorities in check.

Here’s a few tips.

After and only after you’ve negotiated on the price of the vehicle, ask the dealer to include an additional warranty on the vehicle at no extra cost. If they will not do this then rest assured that you can get a low-cost extended warranty directly from the warranty company.

This is just one example of what you can do to save money. Another great thing that can benefit you is getting a pre-approval for your auto loan, before you set out to pick out a vehicle. Not only does it save you the heartache of being declined for a car that you’ve set your heart on, you’ll be in a better position to negotiate price on a vehicle that you can actually buy.

http://www.BuyingCarswithBadCredit.com can help you with legitimate auto lending. If you have bad credit, there are sources that are willing to help you to overcome the challenges that you are facing, while helping you to rebuild your credit with a good auto loan.

A few years ago I was in a horrible mess I was stuck in Denver and needed to be back in Florida ASAP. I did not have the luxury of waiting for when the weather to decide if it was going to clear up or not. I needed a car now. So a friend of mine suggested that I consider a one way car rental. The first thing that I said was yeah but they are so expensive, after he told me it was either spend the extra money or face serious consequences from my job I decided that even though it was going to be more expensive I better go with the rental idea.

The reason that one way rentals are so expensive is because that eliminate the car from their available fleet for a period of time and then they are stuck trying to figure out how to get a car that is in Florida back to Denver. Now one way to soften the blow to your wallet is if you can try calling the company as far in advance that you can. This will at least give them notice as to what is going to happen instead of showing up and saying you need a car heading towards Florida.

Now the problem with one way rentals is that you are stuck with having to rent from the large companies only, as many of the smaller regional rental companies don’t even offer one way rentals let alone cheap one way rentals. So how do you go about getting a cheap one way rental the answer is simple take what is in stock and take the cheapest thing they offer. The purpose of this rental is to get you somewhere in a hurry not look stylish. If you want stylish then consider doing that once your home. Now if you are just having to go across the state then you are in luck as you will be able to get a cheap one way rental for this purpose. They may not be happy but they will at least not look at you like your are the spawn of Satan.

Now of course if you are having to rent a car one way you are not doing so because you are bored. therefore you will have to pay whatever the rental company feels like charging and don’t really have a choice in the matter. Finding a cheap one way car rental is not impossible just difficult as you will have a bunch of hurdles to have to jump, but hey it’s not like you are doing this because you are bored, you are the one that is stuck in Denver when you could be in sunny Florida, being nice and warm. The key to finding cheap car rentals is just a matter of looking for the best price and hoping that you don’t end up paying more than you should for your rental.

Are you interested in learning how to convert car to run on water? This is a new trend which has become quite popular these days.

Although the trend is new the concept is not. Today the idea is being taken up by the car owners because of the rising fuel prices.

The water run cars are much cheaper than the other fuels. Today there is another trend which is followed by the car manufacturers; it is to build hybrid cars.

These hybrid cars are much more in demand than the new cars. People are getting attracted to this newer concept.

The best part is that you can convert car to run on water yourself. The process is so easy and simple that you will not need anybody’s help.

Water is a reliable source of energy which is widely available; it can also be called an alternative source of energy.

There are some reports which prove that people have already been successful in converting their car to run on water.

The user can extract brown gas which is also known as HHO from water. This gas is much more efficient in burning and hence also produces a lot more energy.

Convert car to run on water is a system which you can build with the equipments already available at your home. You just need the guidelines. The guidelines are a step by procedure to build the system.

To create the hybrid system you do not need to make any modifications in the engine of your car or even in the parts. You just need to add the system with the existing system.

This is why you can reverse back to the old system easily if this system does not suit you. For maintenance you need to spare 5 minutes per week.

Tired of frequently consulting your auto mechanic regarding car troubles that arise in the most inopportune time? It’s about time you should empower yourself and not be on the mercy of your auto mechanic forever. The internet has a vast array of information on car repairs. Among those that will give you the most benefits are Youtube car repairs.

The Benefits Of Youtube

Youtube is a popular site that features videos, and it’s being utilized by different vehicle owners and even mechanics to share their knowledge and skills. The repair processes that you will find here are beneficial in many ways:

• They are clearly and visually demonstrated. Unlike manuals, you get photos and sound with videos, so the procedures are easy to follow.

• You can take full control of your learning pace. It’s just like having a teacher in front of you. But, whereas you don’t have any control on the teacher in school, you have full control of the videos you see on the site. You’re free to replay the lesson many times and you can refer back to it just in case you want to review some important pointers.

• There are great videos to choose from. If you doubt one video you see, you can find a second opinion on a particular car problem by watching another Youtube presentation discussing the same trouble.

• Of course, it’s free and you don’t have to go to your local mechanic to learn! What a saving in time and cost!

Just like any other machine, a car is exposed to a lot of elements such as the weather and the road condition. All these are beyond your control, and problems can occur anytime. But with the internet now available, it’s easy to find solutions to your car problems.

What You Will Find In Youtube

Aside from car repairs, there are other things that you can find in Youtube. Among these are:

• Car Maintenance. You will find videos that feature the regular maintenance procedures that your car needs—oil change, inspection of parts like the brakes and lights, and many others.

• Troubleshooting techniques. There are also videos that will help you diagnose
troubles by presenting the different symptoms of the problem. This way, it will be easier to identify and assess what you need to do.

• Replacement (Removal and Installation). From auto lights to car stereo and wheels, there are a lot of replacement procedures featured in Youtube. This will help you save on labor cost because you’ll be able to do the task on your own.

With Youtube videos, dealing with your car problems will be easier. Just follow the procedures by heart and you can certainly become a car maintenance expert in no time. With constant practice and with the right attitude, you will soon be emancipated from having to pay someone to handle car maintenance and repair. The different Youtube videos are definitely a wealth of knowledge.

Be proactive, be on top of the situation, watch Youtube car repairs, apply what you learn, and soon, your visit to your auto mechanic will be far in between.

Owning a car comes with a lot of benefits, and responsibilities as well. As a responsible driver, you must take good care of your car, regularly checking it and going for immediate car repairs when the need arises. No matter how good your car is, there will come a time when some of its parts will bog down due to normal wear and tear.

The different parts of your car are prone to aging, especially if you drive extensively. However, there are things that you can do to avoid a lot of repair expenses, as follows:

• If budget is not a constraint, better purchase a brand new car in the first place. This will usually include warranties for parts and even cover free servicing for a given period of time.

• Expand your car insurance coverage to include collision insurance. Just in case you meet an accident, you won’t need to spend much on repair.

• It would be helpful if you have a car repair manual handy. You can refer to it for some technical information such as wiring diagrams, sensor locations, and many others. The manual is just like a first aid kit; it will help you figure out the trouble and help you fix it if it’s not that complicated.

Car Maintenance Tips

Other than the three general tips mentioned above, one other very important thing you should remember is to observe religious car maintenance. The basics include simple activities like checking the engine oil, transmission fluid, engine coolant, tires, and battery. You can refer to your owner’s manual to properly check these or you can ask the guidance of a professional mechanic.

• Tune-ups and oil changes should be done regularly. Cars should be tuned up every two years or 30,000 miles.

• Oil should be changed at least thrice a year to keep engine parts lubricated.

• Brake pads should also be replaced immediately when they’re worn out to avoid possibilities of accidents.

• Your radiator should be regularly cleaned to remove the solid deposits that cling to it over time. The cooling system should be regularly flushed as well.

• Fuel filters should be replaced immediately when they get clogged.

• The air filter should also be replaced when clogged to save on power and gas. A dirty air filter can retard the function of your air intake system, which is among those that regulate your car’s air-fuel mixture.

• Your air conditioning system should be regularly checked and recharged if necessary.

These are among the basic maintenance procedures that you should regularly undertake to avoid major car repairs. These can be done even at home to further save on cost. You can refer to websites or manuals that feature DIY car maintenance. Just make that sure you have clamps, wrenches, screwdrivers, and other basic tools at hand.

When you notice anything unusual in your car, immediately find the source of the problem. Attend to minor defects immediately so that they will not build up. If the defect is complicated, bring your car to an accredited repair shop at once. Life is not perfect and so is your car, so car repairs are inevitable. But with the right attitude, these should not be a problem.

What are you looking for in a driving instructor? The most obvious things that you will probably be looking for are an instructor who is available to pick you up from different places such as your place work and your home, and of course one who offers a good but affordable service. But if you just base your choice on these two factors when looking for a driver then you could end up disappointed.
The best driving instructors are characterized by being assertive. Driving is a serious business, and it’s not all about having fun. Don’t forget that your instructor’s life is more or less in your hands every time you get behind the wheel. They owe it to you, other road users, and to themselves to be strict when they have to be in order to prevent you from making the same mistakes again. If they chastise you for a mistake, you shouldn’t take it personally and should instead learn from it.

But there’s a difference between being assertive and getting angry. Inexperienced driving instructors may get angry when their students make mistakes, and this is often down to a lack of experience and even a real fear that they are going to have an accident. But if you know anyone who’s learnt to drive, they will tell you that someone who is calm in a crisis is always a preferable choice. It’s easy to panic, and if you have a driving instructor shouting at you all the time then this is only going to make things worse.

If your driving instructor is strict with you, however, this is still a good thing. If they’re too relaxed then they simply won’t get across the seriousness of driving and the responsibility that comes with it. But there are different ways of dealing with students, and some of these are much better than others.

If you live in Sydney and are looking for a driving instructor, try to ask your friends and family members to see if they can recommend a good driving school. Sydney is full of instructors, but you need to find an instructor who will help to get the most out of you and help you to develop into a better driver through solid instruction which does not involve shouting at you every five minutes.

The aim when it comes to your driving lessons is to try to find an instructor who is in control at all times but does not get angry with you. After all, you are just a beginner and you’re certain to make mistakes along the way. Constructive teaching is far more effective and will make driving a positive experience rather than a negative one.

If you don’t enjoy taking driving lessons then there’s a good chance you’ll give up before you get to the standard where you can pass your test. Don’t let that happen and find a driving instructor who can help you to not only pass your test but will also help you to enjoy the experience of learning to drive.

oss of Use Term in Auto Insurance?

One of the things that the consumers may not really contemplate, but do expect, is that their auto insurance will cover the cost of a replacement car when their automobile is being replaced. Many auto insurance policies actually do not provide for this automatically. If you are at all dependent upon your car, it is vital that you make sure that this type of coverage is included. Rental cars are not cheap!

How do you tell if you have this kind of auto insurance coverage for automobile or RV? First, you need to look at your car insurance policy. The language you are looking for refers to something called “loss of use.” What is loss of use coverage? As the name suggests, loss of use coverage refers to the expenses for transportation while your automobile is in being repaired or replaced. In more practical terms, this simply means that you have coverage for a rental car. Indeed, many people including those in the auto insurance business refer to this clause of the car rental coverage clause.

Buying loss of use auto insurance

Buying loss of use auto insurance with the car policy is definitely something you want to do. The idea of buying more car insurance coverages and auto insurance quotes probably is one of the least favorite things for most people. That being said, going for days without your car is far worse. Most of us drive to work and home. Most of us need our cars just to get around to find basic things like food. You really don’t realize how dependent you are on a car until you don’t have it. If you don’t believe me, try a simple little test. Lend your car to a friend one morning and tell them not to bring it back till the end of the day. I guarantee that you’ll be going batty by noon!

Loss of use automobile insurance is simply worth its weight in gold. It may not seem like it now, but it will when you suddenly need to get around and your car is in the shop. Paying for a turist car for tour or turizm with your own money for more than a few days is an extremely expensive proposition. Paying 10 to 20 bucks a year extra on your car insurance to get loss of use coverage is definitely a better deal. Do it!

About the Author:

Many people like the idea of driving a pure electric car. It is clean, cheap to run and does not create any noise pollution. With the rising global crude oil prices, electric vehicle (EV) is getting more desirable by many car owners.

Unfortunately, a brand new EV from the car dealership is still very expensive. Be prepared to invest upwards of $40,000 for a plug-in EV. Most people would not be able to afford that. The best alternative is to convert a conventional automobile into an EV.

One of the most popular cars used for EV retrofitting is the Volkswagen Beetle. VW Beetle electric conversion is relatively easy compared to other model in the market. This is because there are many readymade Beetle Bug electric car conversion kits.

Why use a VW Beetle as an electric car conversion donor car? The main reason is the cost. You can find an old VW almost anywhere. Even a damaged Bug is fine; the electric conversion will be taking out the internal combustion engine anyway.

Due to its popularity, many workshops have designed and made the conversion kit available for any DIY electric car enthusiast. All they have to do is order the kit, get it sent to their home and they can begin retrofitting their VW Beetle.

However, even with the electric conversion kit, not everyone can do the project. You must have some basic understanding on how an automobile works.

You also must have the necessary tools and equipment for the conversion. Without those, it would be a better idea just to outsource the Beetle electric conversion to a professional mechanic.

Winter is nearly upon us, is your car ready for the change of weather? According to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), there are over 6,400,000 vehicle crashes each year and 24 percent of these crashes are weather-related. What kind of weather is the most dangerous? Believe it or not, statistically it is the rain. Because water reduces vehicle traction, maneuverability, as well as visibility – these three in combination can cause problems in rain and almost any kind of bad weather.

What are some things you can do to prepare your car for the highest degree of safety before inclement weather sets in? Here are a handful of items that you can add to your auto service checklist:

• Windshield Wiper Blades – Are your blades working properly. If you rarely use your blades during the summer and live in places where the sun can dry them out, it is most likely that the rubber will harden and the blades will not work as well when you need them. If you live in an area where you expect heavy snow during the winter, you may want to consider switching your blades for snow blades .

• Tires – This is a big one. There are many inspections to be made on your tires before winter sets in. The first is to make sure they are properly inflated. Under- or over-inflated tires can reduce the gripping action as the tread won’t meet the road surface as it was designed to. If you are in a place where there is a lot of snow or ice, try using tires made just for this kind of weather. Snow and ice tires have a special tread compound and a unique tread design to increase road-gripping abilities.

• Your Shoes – Yes, your shoes. Snow and mud can compound on the bottom of your shoes, which can cause slippery braking. This and when the snow melts off of your shoes and gathers on the floor, can make your floorboard slippery and difficult for you to use your gas, clutch or brake accurately.

• Watch The Braking – If you have driven in ice and snow, this one is problem second nature to you, but so many people forget to retrain themselves and their driving habits during the winter. Avoid harsh use of your brakes while driving. If you need to make an emergency stop in a car equipped with an Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), firmly press the pedal down and hold it to the floor.

• Coolant – Flush and refill your cooling system as recommended. Check the level, condition and concentration of the coolant periodically.

• Heater and Defroster – Make sure your cars heater and defroster are in good working condition before you have to depend on them. A failed heating system will leave passengers cold, while a broken defroster can dangerously reduce visibility.

• Battery – Nothing worse than getting caught in the cold with a dead battery and we all know how the weather can drain a battery. Before it gets too cold out, hire a technician to check your battery. Only professional equipment can detect weak batteries.

• Stay Prepared – Last, keep a blanket, shovel, flares and some high-energy snacks in the vehicle just in case you get hung up in the snow or cold weather. While it may be warm in your car and warm at the destination you will arrive at, anything can happen, leaving you without heat during your travels. When this happens you want to make sure you have something warm as a backup to wear until help comes.

Take precautions in checking over this list and hopefully your winter driving travels will be safe and warm.
